Extra curricular activities at our school

Junior dance group

Students from Years 3 and 4 are able to try out for the junior dance group. This dance group performs at the Sydney North Dance Festival in Belrose and at special functions held at the school.


Senior dance group

The senior dance group is made up of students from Years 5 and 6. This dance group performs at school for special events as well as attending the Sydney North Dance Festival at the Glen Street Theatre in Belrose.

Chess club

Students from Years 3 to 6 can participate in chess club for 45 minutes on Wednesdays after school.

Garden club

All students are welcome at the garden club. It is held once a week during lunch times and is supported by a parent and a teacher.


NSW Primary Schools Sports Association provides opportunities for primary students to participate in competitive sport.


Eight students from Year 5 compete in the Interschool Debating Competition.
Eight students from Year 6 compete in the Premier's Debating Challenge.


Our school has three choirs. The K/1 choir, Years 2 to 6 choir and Arts Alive Choir. These choirs perform at special school functions throughout the year. The Arts Alive Choir also performs at the Opera House and the Sydney Town Hall (on alternate years).

Science Program Exciting Children Through Research Association (SPECTRA)

This club is open for sudents from Years 1 to 6 and is coordinated by a teacher at lunchtimes.


Our school has a Senior Concert Band, an Intermediate Concert Band, a Jazz Band and a Training Band. There are also two string ensembles, the String Ensemble and the Advanced String Ensemble.

These are coordinated by our Parent and Citizens Association
