ANZAC Service at NWPS

Playing "The Lament"

LEST WE FORGET

Captains and Prefects presented our school service for ANZAC Day.

There was a whole school service around the flag. Many thanks to our piper, Mr Jim Braid, who played "The Lament'.  He also played as the students quietly and respectfully walked from their classrooms to assemble around the flag.
The Last Post and Rouse were played by Year 6 students, Sophia and Harper. Captains recited The Ode and Vice-captains layed a wreathe at the base of the flag. Students, Karna and Jiwan from Year 5, raised and lowered the flag. Mr Dave Odams trained and conducted our Senior Concert Band which played the Australian National Anthem.
Following the oudoor service the children made their way to the hall where there was a slide show presentation led by the Captains and Prefects. Members of the SRC placed a poppy on the wreathe, the choir which has been trained by  Mrs Voss, sang " Lest We Forget".
Logan and Matthew were in charge of technology orgnisation and running of the slide show.
Thank you to all our students who showed great respect on this occasion.
